I want to rename this “The Most Popular Cake You Will Ever Make”, but that’s pretty long and it’s not going to help you find the recipe again. I’m pretty sure it really is the most popular cake you will ever make.  Even better than that it’s easy and you will really, really, really like it, a lot.  It get’s better than that.  It freezes beautifully for up to 6 months.  No, this is not a knife infomercial.  Yes, you should make this cake as is and then make it again with whatever substitutions you think you should make.  May I present, for your eating pleasure (I guess if you don’t make it, it’s only for your viewing pleasure.  That would be a shame.), the Strawberry Chantilly Cake.

To vent your fruit pie

You’ve got company coming over.  You want to impress them with a gorgeous, flaky, gourmet looking homemade pie.  As they say, the devil is in the details.  With pie this is truth.

If a cracked crust isn’t on your menu, may I humbly suggest venting your fruit pies properly will keep your crust intact.  As far as keeping your sanity intact when company is coming, you’ll have to figure that one out on your own!

Dry and crumbly is the worst offender in my opinion, followed by bland, over baked and lastly under baked. You see, there are a lot of ways to make a cinnamon roll not only unworthy of consuming the sugar and empty calories, but just a down right day ruiner. Is that overly dramatic? I think not. No, it explains it perfectly with no drama at all. Before you skip over to a more optimistic blog let me tell you, there’s only good news from here! Simple, divine, delectable, delicious cinnamon rolls can be yours with a minimal amount of effort, expense and dishes to be washed. Yep, a celebration, including cinnamon rolls, is in order.
